stories of grace, hope and life beyond cancer

Meet Me

So pleased to meet you! Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Cath and I am a 30 something South African, living in the suburbs of South West London, UK. I am married to a wonderful man who is my best friend and together we are parents to the most darling two little lads, one born in early 2012 and the other in late 2015. These little guys are a total joy and a constant delight to us. We serve a faithful God who never lets us go.

In April 2012 the rug was pulled out from underneath our feet when I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. Our oldest boy was just 8 weeks old at the time. I can honestly say that the few days after my diagnosis were the darkest days of my life and never before have I felt the desperation and hopelessness that I felt in those days.

But as the journey has continued God has begun to restore my hope and I am now beginning to once again be able to dream and have hopes for the future. There is still a long way to go in this cancer journey and although a difficult one, I am not walking it alone. I am blessed to have amazing friends and family and a powerful, gracious and compassionate Lord. I can truly say that through everything my hope is overflowing!

I am a raging extrovert and love people, all things crafty, making music, sunshine and laughing. I hope that my journey will encourage you on yours… Please feel free to drop me a line any time – I would love to hear from you.
